Let me take a moment to brag on Lee Hirschmann at The Band Shoppe for the incredible amount of time and work he put into making my horn playable after a major accident. I don’t know many repair techs who will machine a part for your instrument while you wait, and then proceed to show you each facet of the repair, letting you leave understanding your instrument and it’s mechanisms on a higher level. This man is a phenomenal repairman, and a great person!- Kyle J.

Lee in Woodwinds/Brass Repair Rocks! Some of the best service I have gotten anywhere in a long time. My daughter has clarinet camp this week and her instrument broke. Lee was able to fix it in a matter of minutes. Not only that… but he was enthusiastic, warm and friendly. It was close to the end of his shift, but I know he would have stayed late if need be. Highly knowledgeable… you will have no reservations leaving your instrument in his capable hands. Lee has had years of study learning how to fix what he does.. Talented Guy! -Veronica W.

If you need work done on woodwinds, brass, strings, or guitars Lee Hirschmann is your man! Whether doing routine maintenance or emergency repair on my Selmer Mark VII tenor sax, or completely disassembling, cleaning, and restoring my 1919 Conn New Wonder baritone sax to an amazing condition similar to when it was first manufactured 97 years ago, or taking a myriad of my E-Bay finds and putting them in excellent playing condition, I have always trusted Lee. I was one of his first customers, first meeting him during his second week as a full time band instrument technician. Here is a list of my horns he has worked on over the years. Saxes: 2 tenors, 2 altos, 2 baritones, 2 sopranos, a C-melody, and a sopranino. Clarinets: 3 sopranos, 2 bass, an alto, and a contra-alto. Flutes: 2 C flutes, an alto, a bass, and a piccolo. And if that isn’t enough, he reset the neck of my treasured Martin D35 guitar. In every single case Lee has done an outstanding job! And on top of that he is just a super nice guy! We have spent many pleasant hours over the years talking and comparing both vintage and new horns and I consider him a friend. Lee both knows his stuff and is a gifted musical instrument technician/artist. He is and will always be my go to horn and guitar person.-Gary K.

Lee has worked on my guitars over the last 5 years. He is honest, his prices are very reasonable but most important his work is spectacular! I will continue to give Lee my business and encourage everyone to do the same. -Don B,

Just got my Seagull guitar back from being fixed and adjusted at The Band Shoppe in Paradise/Catonsville. I’ve been putting off doing this for quite some time. It took only 3 days, which is much faster than I ever expected. I did not expect to get back a perfectly adjusted guitar, but that is exactly what I got. I don’t know what kind of magic Lee Hirschmann performed on my on my guitar but it even sounds better than it did before I took it there. So I guess this is an ad because I highly recommend taking your instrument there.- Brian C

I had heard many extremely positive things about Lee’s Band Shoppe. I finally stopped putting off calling him and picked up the phone. I explained that my contrabassoon needed some attention and that I needed it for the first weekend in January. He made an appointment for me today (New Year’s Day) and spent several hours working on it. It’s like a brand new horn now. Well beyond my expectations.  All my horns will go to The Band Shoppe. Thanks Lee and Cole. – Ken .
